Ordering Pizza for a Group? Here’s What I’d Get

“I like pepperoni pizza.”
“I prefer vegetable pizza.”
“No, I want Hawaiian.”
“I like my pizza with extra cheese.”
“I’m not a big fan of cheese.”
“Can I have pineapple pizza?”
You’re with a group of friends or your colleagues, and everybody has an opinion about what should go on the pizza. You’re the one who has taken on the job of ordering, so now you have to figure out how many pizzas to get, which flavors to choose, and how to make sure nobody is staring at the table thinking, “There’s nothing here for me.”
When ordering pizza for a group, you need to think about more than just getting enough pizza. You also have to think about variety.
If I were the one placing the order, I’d start by making sure there are a few different options on the table instead of trying to find one pizza that everybody will somehow agree on.
Start With The Group
First, think about how many people you’re feeding and how hungry everyone is.
Pizza is quite easy to share, which is one of the reasons it works so well for groups. A large pizza can be cut into portions and shared around, and you can mix different flavors across your order so people aren’t stuck eating something they don’t like.
If you’re ordering for a smaller group, you can keep things simple with a couple of different pizzas. For a bigger group, I’d add more variety and bring in a few sides as well.
The goal is to have enough on the table for people to find something they like.
Let’s Talk About the Flavors
If you have people who like their pizza loaded with meat, go for something with a bit more going on. If chicken is more popular in the group, make sure there’s a chicken option. And if you have someone who prefers vegetables, don’t leave them with nothing but the crusts after everyone else has taken their slices.
One place that makes this easy is Pizza Jungle.
If you haven’t ordered from Pizza Jungle before, their menu has a mix of familiar favorites and their own pizza combinations, so you have quite a few directions you can go in.
For the person who wants pepperoni, Simba’s Pepperoni comes with smoked pepperoni, mushrooms, and seasonal vegetables, topped with mozzarella cheese. You can also choose between barbecue or chili sauce.
For chicken lovers, Wild Chicken Feast has spicy chicken, mushrooms, onions, sweet corn, and chillies, with mozzarella on top. This is the kind of pizza I’d put on the table when I know there are people who want something savory and properly loaded.
Then there’s Tarzan Meaty Feast, which comes with minced meat, chillies, and green pepper, also topped with mozzarella. If your group has a few serious meat lovers, this one is worth considering.
What if everybody wants something different?
One person wants pepperoni. Another wants chicken. Somebody wants vegetables. Then someone else says they don’t mind, but you know they’ll still complain if they don’t like the pizza.
This is where Two Sides Of The Jungle comes in handy.
You can choose two Pizza Jungle menu offerings and have them arranged side by side on one grand pizza. So instead of ordering two completely separate pizzas because two people can’t agree, you can put two different choices together.
There’s a classic version and a special version, depending on the options you want.
I’d definitely consider this when I’m ordering for people with very different tastes.
And then there’s the person who wants to make their own.
You know that person who has very specific ideas about their pizza?
“I don’t want mushrooms.”
“Please don’t put onions.”
“I need more chicken.”
“Can I have this topping instead?”
For them, My Pizza Jungle makes more sense. You get to create your own pizza and select any three toppings you want.
That way, the person who wants to customise their pizza can do that without turning the entire group order into a negotiation.
What about the person who doesn’t even like pizza?
There is always a chance.
You can be sitting with eight people, planning a big pizza order, and one person will casually mention that they don’t really eat pizza.
At this point, don’t cancel the whole plan.
Add something else to the order.
Pizza Jungle has chicken wings, Buffalo wings, crispy wings, BBQ wings, chips and wings, and breadsticks with wings. So you can put a few things in the middle of the table for people to share alongside the pizza.
I’d definitely add wings if I’m ordering for a group. Even people who love pizza will happily reach for a plate of crispy wings between slices.
And if someone really doesn’t want pizza, at least they have something else to eat.
You can do the same thing with drinks
Once you’ve sorted the food, don’t forget the drinks.
You can keep it simple with Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite or Pepsi, or go for options like Chi-active, Chi exotic, Hollandia Yoghurt or 5Alive.
For a group, I’d rather have the drinks sorted before the food arrives. Nobody wants to be halfway through their second slice and then start asking who is going to buy drinks.
So, what would I actually order?
If I had to put together an order for a group, I’d focus on variety first.
I’d have one option for people who want meat, one for chicken lovers, and something a little more flexible for people with different preferences. A Two Sides Of The Jungle can also help when the group can’t agree on one flavour.
Then I’d add wings or another side for sharing, especially if there are people who aren’t big on pizza.
And I’d get enough drinks to go around.
That’s it. You don’t need everyone to agree on one pizza. Give people a few good options and let them pick what they want.
If you’re looking for a pizza place for your next group hangout, you can check out the Pizza Jungle menu, choose the pizzas and sides that work for your group, and place your order.
